Please follow these precautions when participating in IITB:
- Drive safely
- Only carry as much as you can comfortably manage – some of those bags are heavy!
- Do not overfill your car:
- Please make sure you can see out of all your mirrors and there are no loose bags or items behind the driver seat that could fall forward when you brake.
- Take care emptying the contents of bags. We suggest you empty the contents out onto a table or cloth, and wear disposable gloves if possible. Please do not rummage directly into bags as there may be broken items.
- If you are attending a transit shed, please go with another person, and let your Lead team know you are attending and when you arrive and leave
- If friends or family accompany you on your collection or delivery, they are not covered by our insurance. Please ask them to sign up as a Shero or Hero and then they can help you.
- If you take your children to a pickup or delivery, please exercise discretion. If you do take your children, you accept that they are not covered by our insurance and remain your responsibility and under your supervision at all times
- If you are injured or find concerning items in a bag, please contact your IITB Lead or Team Leader immediately. Please call 000 in an emergency
- Please follow government guidelines regarding COVID-19 or other health directions as may be relevant
